‘Zurkhaneh’ (house of strength) is a dome structured holy space for male of all classes to practice ‘varzesh e pahlevani’. The equipment they use in zurkhaneh symbolizes ancient weapons. Alongside the skillful theatrical movements that takes place in zurkhaneh, manners and morals are passed on from the elders.

Mil, a pair of wooden clubs, is one of the main tools used at the ‘zurkhaneh’. It was once used to make men fit for using mace in warfare.
